January 22-23 Monitoring

4:45PM Friday: We found a pocket where the snow hit harder this afternoon: Our neighborhood in/near Phoenix off River Road has just about 3 inches, so we have dispatched drivers.

4PM Friday: Hey gang! We’ve been watching the skies, driveways and radars throughout the day. The warm temperatures have afforded most accumulation to melt or settle, with a late-afternoon burst giving us about an inch of festive snow – fun to look at, but not yet enough to plow. Of course, we will continue to monitor overnight. Thanks for tuning in!

JANUARY 20 UPDATES

7:45AM: All areas plowing, starting 8:15AM. Second wave came fast and heavy! Slippery conditions – drive cautiously!

7:00AM: First wave of snow passed without heavy accumulation, and we now wait to see what this new wave will add up to through mid-morning. Stay tuned!

5:30AM: The snow band has dropped into CNY! Snow depths ranging from one-half to 1.5 inches. Our managers are roaming the territory monitoring. No plowing yet.

4:00AM: One-quarter to three-quarters of an inch throughout the territory. We are monitoring a band developing off Lake Ontario which has started dropping toward Syracuse.

New alert service!

Greetings! For those unaware, we are now offering real-time email updates* to our customers regarding snow events (start times, decision-making processes, etc.). We emailed all customers who have an email on file with us as of January 15. If you wish to opt in to this service, email us at [email protected]. Thanks!

*We WILL continue updates here as well, so keep tuning in!

December 17 Afternoon update!

Well, the town plows have made a real mess of things! After several delayed town plow runs, we have decided to send our trucks around again starting at 3PM in Clay, Cicero, Liverpool, and North Syracuse. Thank you for your patience!

Early Morning 12/17 Update

Good morning! We are plowing all routes, starting 2AM to 2:30AM, aiming to have you cleaned up by daylight. Please note, if you wish to establish service and have not done so yet, please wait until after this snow event to contact us. Thank you!

DECEMBER 16 UPDATE

IMPORTANT NOTICE: As of 2pm today (December 16) we will pause activating contracts until we have successfully navigated the potential snow event. If it is after 2pm and you wish to establish service, please contact us AFTER the storm has passed. While this can be understandably frustrating for those in need of plowing, it is important for us to focus our efforts on preparing to give the best service we can to our customers as we prepare for incoming storms (especially early in the season). We’ve found that trying to make too many changes directly before or in a storm leads to a degradation in our quality of service, and we want to make sure we get it right for you! Thank you for your understanding.

December 9 Snowfall

December 9, 2020, 11:15AM:

Greetings! We are monitoring today’s snowfall, but as of late morning we do not have enough accumulation to merit a plow event. As always, we monitor snow activity in every neighborhood that we plow. If we hit our 3 inch tolerance or deem it necessary, be assured we will take care of you! Stay warm!

Start Date for Season

Greetings! We’ve had some nervous calls about potential snow in the next 24 hours. Please note, our contracts for snow plowing begin November 10. We cannot be on your property before that date. Thanks for your understanding. Now let’s all hope it doesn’t amount to much, or melts fast!

Driveway Staking

Feel that chill in the air? It’s almost snow time! Just a reminder that we stake driveways the first FULL weekend of each November. This year that will be November 7th and 8th. For customers signing up AFTER that weekend, we will stake as soon as we are able. Thank you, and bundle up!
